A Little Calculator

It didn't work, or only a little bit. We were too Cartesian in the approach, and not enough. We stared at correlates among the meaningless (material this, mental that) until we were ready to accept the fact there was: thought, thinking, feeling, a being human, light, free, wearing little else than her words (perhaps a bit of salt). The definitions were wet, as were the curves. Indeed, because. Where does it all end, and where does it begin? Say, we're using a little calculator to divide large numbers with minimal loss of glucose. Does the little calculator think for us, or merely process information? Is there a difference? If we're willing to admit the tiny computation is thinking for us, does it mean our body got extended with the spread of numbers? Which thoughts are ours? Which cells belong to her body? It's not that clear under the microscope. Say, we find ourselves in the interval between A (the horse shoots) and B (the concept of foal became). Where does she draw the line?
